Simon Vella

FlaMinKo  is a musical project directed by violinist Simon Vella, in which he collaborates with Dru Mayer on Percussion and Mark Rapa  on Spanish Guitar. 

It fuses elements from Latin inspirations together with sounds from within the Mediterranean region. 

The result is a raw acoustic sound that mixes virtuoso playing with a large dose of rhythmic grooves creating a sound that is much more than the simple addition of these 3 instruments.

Influences include : Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Roby Lakatos, Astor Piazzola,  Carlos Gardel.....
